Where NOT to Wear Your Uggs

January 10th, 2012

When I first got my Uggs I thought, “Hey, where can I NOT wear these things?” I looked up the maps for clear coverage in my area to see which park to visit in the dead of winter and decided my fuzzy boots would be great on a hike. Take it from me, your Uggs just aren’t as utilitarian as you think so here are a few places NOT to wear the boots
To a Lake: Your Uggs don’t like moisture – it’s just a fact. They’ll mildew and actually get pretty grimy if you allow them to get wet and not dry so try to keep them as clean as possible.
In the Woods: Bet you didn’t know there were so many sharp, prickly things in the woods! The nature of how Ugg boots fit allow tons of tiny items to fall down in the top of the boots – this is less comfortable than you might think.
A Christmas Party: Okay, so this isn’t a utility thing but Ugg boots aren’t dressy. They shouldn’t be worn with a suit or a dress and they’re not appropriate formal wear.

Fads and new fashions are not some recent phenomenon. As long as people have had access to clothing, cars and other disposable items they have made those items popular or not. One of the most recent and longstanding fads is Ugg Boots. These boots are likely to be found in mass at any place of worship, school, work, and even play. They offer extreme comfort, warmth, and a sense of fashion that makes them marketable to multiple generations at a time.
