No matter what, do not use your washing machine to wash your Ugg boots. Genuine Ugg boots must be hand washed to keep them in their best shape. Ugg Australia sells their own Cleaner & Conditioner product that is recommended to use for purposes of cleaning your Uggs. Whether you use this solution or another, it is important that you don’t apply a cleaning solution directly to the sheepskin of the boots, but rather you should dampen a sponge with the solution and use that to thoroughly clean the footwear.
Once clean, you may rinse the boots lightly with water. Do not leave them in the sun to dry or place them in your dryer. High heat can damage the boots while they are drying. It is best to leave them to dry in a shaded area at around room temperature. Once dry, you should lightly brush them in one direction with a soft suede brush to restore their original appearance.
